Background
ESF Camps is a network of summer day camps for all ages. ESF operates 60+ different camps at 12 ESF Camps locations in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland and Florida. ESF is described by Philadelphia Magazine as the "gold standard of summer day camps,” and hosts upwards of 5,200 students a summer.
Challenge
With the departure of their previous marketing agency in April 2023, ESF Camps sought a prompt and trustworthy solution to achieve their summer enrollment goals. With only 45 days remaining until the start of the camp season, Stackmatix was entrusted with the task of revamping all of their paid media platforms, testing new strategies and channels, and ensuring accurate tracking and data recording, which had been ignored by their previous agency.
Within days, Stackmatix embarked on the challenge of surpassing the results (CPA and ROAS) of the previous agency. Despite the time constraints, Stackmatix was determined to implement efficient and effective strategies to drive success for ESF Camps.
Solution
Within the 45 day timeframe, Stackmatix demonstrated dedication and expertise while remaining committed to transparency, continued learning, open communication, and a results-driven approach.
Stackmatix crafted a comprehensive relaunch plan, which included restructuring and managing their Google accounts, implementing our most effective advertising techniques on Facebook, and carefully examining & realigning the tracking mechanisms to ensure data accuracy. Throughout the lead up to the ESF summer season, Stackmatix worked diligently to fine-tune campaigns every day. The emphasis on efficiency and data-driven decisions allowed us to optimize campaigns, ad creatives, budgets, and improve conversion rates within the prescribed timeline.
Additionally, Stackmatix sought to test new techniques and platforms for ESF, after conducting a competitive analysis of the landscape. Stackmatix tested new strategies on the original paid channels, such as Dynamic Creative rotations on Facebook, specific audience segmentation on Google, and continual A/B testing. Simultaneously, Stackmatix coordinated 7 local display ad buys, and test-launched a campaign on NextDoor to help the ESF team gauge platform performance for future seasons.
Results
Stackmatix's partnership with ESF Camps was instrumental in helping them hit their summer goals and positioned them for success in future seasons. As the relaunch unfolded, ESF Camps witnessed an increase in online visibility, engagement, and revenue. Stackmatix helped ESF achieve an impressive ROAS of 6.8x, surpassing the previous agency’s performance. Stackmatix reduced the Cost-per-Sign-up from $250 to $224, demonstrating cost-effectiveness of our conversion strategies. In addition to these clear metric successes, Stackmatix provided the ESF team with valuable learnings on audience targeting, channel / platform effectiveness, geographic targeting, lead tracking, budget allocation, and timing/frequency for next season.
